If your grandparents suddenly went on vacation this weekend, you may want to make sure you were far away from Blind Creek Beach where St. Lucie County skinny dippers broke the world record for most naked swimmers.
On Sunday (7/10/11), 769 people dipped into the ocean at Blind Creek Beach, breaking the world record whilst wearing nothing but a smile.
It was the Treasure Coast Naturists who aimed to beat their previous record of 431 skinny dippers, which they set last year.
In June of 2020, Blind Creek Beach officially became a clothing-optional beach and The St. Lucie County Commission allowed 36 out of the 408-acres of land to be a part of the clothing-optional portion, although the Treasure Coast Naturists say they have been practicing casual nudity on the beach since 2014.
