It's unclear exactly how this wild story started, but it's one straight out of a made-for-TV movie. Girl becomes obsessed with someone else's husband, girl starts acting crazy and trying to break up their marriage, girl gets arrested.

According to a detective with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Iris Rodriguez of Lake Worth Beach “sent several harassing emails to the identified victim and her husband, [their names]. Additional emails and messages were sent to the victim's family and friends causing substantial emotional distress to [the victim] and sending no legitimate purpose.”

The arrest report states that the victim and her husband knew Rodriguez and in September of last year, decided they “no longer wanted any contact with her. They both told Rodriguez to stop coming to their house and calling them. They blocked her from their cellphones and all social media accounts. [The victim] said Rodriguez continued to text their cellphones so they both changed their cellphone numbers. After that Rodriguez then started to reach out to their extended family members on social media, mainly through Facebook and instant messages. Rodriguez sent sexually explicit images to [the victim]'s father and his company website.”

Both the victim and her husband “stated that it is a sexually explicit picture of them and it was taken in their home. They believe Rodriguez took the photo off of [somebody]'s cellphone without his permission and they did not give Rodriguez consent to share this photo with anyone.”

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office also obtained an email from Rodriguez to the victim's husband and her father that claimed the man's wife was sending explicit photos of herself to people and made threats to expose one of the photos to the father's workplace. The email was accompanied by a sexually explicit picture of the man's wife, sent without her consent.

After a lengthy and dramatic investigation, Rodriguez was booked on Tuesday and released Wednesday (3/30/22) afternoon. She has been charged with cyberstalking and sexual cyber harassment.
