A 39-year-old man was swimming in the waters off Siesta Key, Florida when he was bitten by a shark.
As he was walking home bleeding, a woman saw him and called 911. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
According to the woman, he had been bitten on his hand and arm and was bleeding profusely. She kept reassuring him that "everything's going to be ok."
Kim Savage, a spokesman for Sarasota Memorial Hospital, said a man was admitted on Tuesday and the wound was indeed a shark bite.
However, she couldn't provide any more details on his condition.
