If you live in Royal Palm Beach and your kid goes to high school, something to consider for next year.
The village gives out six $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year, but as Friday's deadline approached, the Palm Beach Post reports the Education Advisory Board had only received 21 applications.
Only 30 students applied last year.
The village council is now considering upping the ante. Thinking some parents and students may believe $1,000 is too little an amount, the scholarships could go up in the future.
