While foreclosure activity in Florida decreased nine percent from a year ago in April, the state still posted the nation's highest foreclosure rate.
RealtyTrac reports one in every 400 homes had a filing last month...nearly three times the national average.
Among the largest metro areas in the country, eleven of the 20 cities with the highest foreclosure rates were in Florida. South Florida was in that list, along with Orlando, which was at the top.
Palm Beach County's foreclosure filings were down 54 percent during the first four months of the year, when compared to last year.
