Families across Florida have thousands of locations to choose from this summer as the state expands its efforts to offer free, healthy meals.

Agriculture officials have announced the Summer BreakSpot program, which provides meals and activities for kids at 3,400 locations.  Families can access nearby locations by phone call, text, email or applying online.

Last year, the program provided more than 12 million meals to about 300,000 children as mobile units transported breakfasts and lunches to children in underserved communities around the state.

Fleets of renovated school buses, trucks and vans will deliver meals at parks, recreation centers and affordable housing units in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
